SCReady and SCPASS
SC Ready & Pass Testing
The South Carolina Department of Education assessment is called SC READY which must be administered to students in grades 3 through 8. SC READY will test writing, reading, and mathematics.
In addition to SC Ready, students in grades 4 through 8 will take the South Carolina Palmetto Assessment of State Standards (SCPASS) in science or social studies.
The assessments will give important information that will allow us to determine not only how our students are progressing at their current grade level, but also how they are progressing toward a future for college and career readiness. Also, the assessments will help your student’s teacher understand where your student is succeeding, as well as, where your student needs extra help.
The schedule for each test is below.
Please put these testing days on your family’s calendar. Students who are absent or tardy on test days will have to make up the tests.
Please help us make sure your child feels confident and comfortable as he/she takes SC Ready &SC PASS assessments. Be sure your child goes to bed early, gets a good night’s sleep, eats a good breakfast, and arrives at school on time (7:55).
*Please note that students are not allowed to have any electronic communication devices during the test (this includes cell phones, tablets and/or smart watches). Please make sure all devices are kept at home during testing.
Thank you for all that you do for our students.
