CTE second graders enjoyed a trip to Callaham Orchards! Students learned about how strawberries grow and the role that bees play in pollination.
They picked strawberries and were tempted to eat them on the spot, but knew it was important to wash them first! They used water pumps to have a duck race, milked a "cow", fed goats, and enjoyed an ice cream treat. Students also went on a wagon ride around the farm and saw different plants growing, such as blackberries.
